Use it to create small projects like jewelry, coasters, or a single art piece up to 14 x 18” or for testing out the product before committing to a larger kit.

How much coverage does 8 oz of ArtResin provide?

ArtResin's 8 oz kit covers up to 2 sq ft. It is ideal for art pieces up to 14 x 18".

To determine exactly how much resin you need for your project, please visit our Resin Calculator.

Can I use the 8 oz ArtResin kit for jewellery, coasters, or small art pieces?

Yes, the 8 oz ArtResin kit is covers a single piece of art up to 14 x 18". It’s the perfect size for jewelry and small crafts, and contains enough resin for approximately 4 standard-sized coasters.

What surfaces can I use ArtResin on?

ArtResin bonds to most surfaces including wood, photographs, inkjet prints, ink, oil pastel, paper collage, canvas, fabric, metal, glass, sculptures, flowers, rocks, and fully dried paint acrylic, oil, watercolor, and spray paint.

It does not adhere well to materials that repel water such as wax, oil, and plastics, including silicone.

Loose materials such as glitter or chalk pastel may float in the liquid resin. Porous materials such as clay or soft papers may absorb resin; apply a sealant first to create a barrier.

We always recommend testing your materials with resin before beginning your project. Enjoy experimenting!

For more information, please see our blog: What Materials Can I Or Can't I Use Epoxy Resin On?

What’s the working time once I mix the resin and hardener?

ArtResin has a working time of about 45 minutes before it begins to cure and becomes too thick to spread. For best results, pour and apply the resin immediately after mixing for 3 minutes.

Temperature note: Heat will shorten your working time. If you warm the resin in a water bath, expect to lose about 10 minutes. Likewise, in spaces above 85°F (25°C), both working and cure times will be reduced. Always keep your workspace temperature in mind to get the best results.

How long does it take for ArtResin to cure completely?

ArtResin is dry to the touch within 24 hours and reaches its full cure in 72 hours.

For best results, allow the resin to cure in a warm and dry environment, ideally between 75-85°F (24-30°C) and 50-80% humidity. It's important to maintain stable temperatures during the first 24 hours to avoid dimples in the resin surface.

    Great projects with Art Resin

I thought I was ordering two 8oz bottles, but it was two 4oz bottles equaling 8oz. It still works great, making metal back pictures and stands for all my moms grandkids and great grandkids.
