Congratulations to artist Rashmi Katti, our latest weekly winner! Rashmi is a self-taught artist and mother of two. Originally from India, Rashmi currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee where you will often find her rock painting at night. She is an architect by profession but an artist by passion.
Originally Rashmi began painting on canvases but out of curiosity painted over a rock and has never looked back. She works with acrylic paints as they offer her the opportunity to add layers and depth to her paintings.
After preparing the rock, she paints her images and then seals her work with one or two layers of ArtResin. The resin provides a glossy and professional look while protecting the painting at the same time. Her talent and creativity does the rest!
She has also painted on several other surfaces like wooden slices, dominoes and pennies.
