Every month we like to spread the love by sending a 1 gallon kit to someone who has used the #artresin hashtag on Instagram ... and then we share their work with the world!
Congratulations to Kim Keller ... our lucky winner for August!
Kim is a mixed media artist who hand embosses designs onto copper sheets, using various techniques to create a patina and distress the surface ( including fire, salt and vinegar ). Inspired by the Pennsylvania countryside where she lives, Kim paints flowers, birds, fish, and animals on her artwork with acrylic paint and finishes the whole thing off with a coat of glossy epoxy resin.
Kim often adds embellishments to her designs such as polymer clay, pressed flowers, gold leaf and alcohol ink, using layering as a way of adding interest and dimension to her work.
