How To Resin An Aluminum Print
-
Select an image you love and order an HD Metal Print from a specialized shop like PosterJack.
-
💡A NOTE ON METAL: Our aluminum print had a brushed finish and did not require a sealant. However, If your metal surface is smooth and shiny, it requires preparation to ensure the resin adheres properly. Remove oil, dirt, and contaminants with a suitable metal degreaser. Then, roughen the metal using a wire brush, sandblaster, sandpaper, or chemical treatment to create tooth for resin adhesion. Apply the resin as soon as possible after preparing the metal surface.
- Wearing gloves, measure and mix ArtResin following the instructions.

💡TIP: Not sure how much resin you need? Check out our Resin Calculator.
- Pour the resin in the center of your artwork and use a flat-edged spreading tool to guide it over the entire surface.
-
Use an Artist’s Torch to remove bubbles.
- Cover and allow the resin to cure. After 24 hours, the resin will be dry to the touch and full curing takes 72 hours.
