How To Resin An Aluminum Print

  1. Select an image you love and order an HD Metal Print from a specialized shop like PosterJack.

  2. 💡A NOTE ON METAL: Our aluminum print had a brushed finish and did not require a sealant. However, If your metal surface is smooth and shiny, it requires preparation to ensure the resin adheres properly. Remove oil, dirt, and contaminants with a suitable metal degreaser. Then, roughen the metal using a wire brush, sandblaster, sandpaper, or chemical treatment to create tooth for resin adhesion. Apply the resin as soon as possible after preparing the metal surface.

  3. Wearing gloves, measure and mix ArtResin following the instructions.

  4. 💡TIP: Not sure how much resin you need? Check out our Resin Calculator.

  5. Pour the resin in the center of your artwork and use a flat-edged spreading tool to guide it over the entire surface.

  6. Use an Artist’s Torch to remove bubbles.

  7. Cover and allow the resin to cure. After 24 hours, the resin will be dry to the touch and full curing takes 72 hours.
