Angelika finds inspiration in everyday life and strives to capture the beauty of nature in her bold, abstract paintings.
What’s your art background? Are you self taught or did you study art?
"I am self taught. I found my passion for art during my regular work hours. I discovered the love of mixing different media in different techniques to create one of one abstract pieces of art."
Are you a full time artist or do you create around work hours?
"I complete my work after work hours."

What do you love about the mediums that you use?
"I love the idea of mixed media creating a unique, unrepeatable effect."
How has resin impacted your artwork?
"I discovered resin 6 months ago. Thanks to resin, I'm capable of providing a greater depth in my paintings and a brighter shine in my paints. Lastly, my paintings are protected and forever lasting."

Can you provide a brief rundown of your process?
"I use various techniques by combining acrylic with powders of wood and marble, oil, aquarelles, inks, pastels, and charcoal to create mesmerizing paintings on canvas. Using epoxy to create a lot of layers helps me to show the depth and richness of the colours."
Why do you want to make art? What motivates you to create?
"These are very hard questions. I make art because I feel the need to make it. I need to unfold what I have hidden inside me and share it with others: to show a different side of beauty, to introduce complete new media and finishes, and to allow people to view a different side of paintings and abstract art overall."
Does art help you in other areas of your life?
"Yes, art helps me deal with my emotions and relieves the weight off of my shoulders."
What do you hope someone sees or feels when they look at your art?
"I hope they get inspired. I hope people notice the small things in nature's beauty which I see and express on canvas. I hope they see the true treasure hidden in front of our eyes."
