Cloisonné is a classic technique where thin metal or wire is shaped into outlines, creating small compartments that are filled with color. Traditionally, those sections are filled with enamel and fired to create a glossy decorative finish.
Northern California artist Teri Haggerty brings a modern twist with "Cold Cloisonné". She uses copper wire and tinted epoxy resin instead of enamel, so there's no baking required. It works on more than just metal and opens up lots of creative possibilities for both abstract and detailed designs.
