Are There Minimum Amounts I Need To Use With ArtResin?

No, there are no minimum amounts you need to pay attention to when mixing up a batch of ArtResin. So long as you follow the 1:1 ratio of 50% resin and 50% hardener AND mix thoroughly for 3 minutes, you should have success!

💡 TIP: We love using clear, plastic shot glasses for measuring small amounts. Or, try saving the measuring caps that come with your kids' medicine containers - they are usually marked with measurement lines as little as 2.5ml!  You can also order small measuring cups and beakers online - these are used both for baking and chemistry.

Chances are, if you've stumbled upon this blog you're using ArtResin in jewelry making. Many artists use ArtResin for their bezels, etc, and it only takes a little to get the job done. For super small projects where it may be difficult to eyeball the exact equal volume, you can weigh each part instead.

Because our resin and hardener have different weights, the 1:1 ratio works for volume but does NOT work for weight. If you're measuring by weight, you need to measure 100 parts resin to 84 parts hardener. At this weight, the volume will be accurate to 50/50 and you can proceed with confidence!
