Update: Test Samples, MSDS, UPCs, Labels!

Dare I say it... we are getting closer and closer to being ready to sell our new ArtResin formula!

Here is the latest test sample from our chemist. This ArtResin'ed board has been sitting it the Texas sun for a number of weeks (see image below):

The product looks great, as do the test results. This new formula includes a super efficient UV stabilizer that is our TRADE SECRET that keeps it looking super clear for longer. The Part B (hardener) is the clearest hardener I have ever seen. We're ready to rock!

In other news, we also made a small update to the logo. We thinned out the font and made our heart/resin drop icon look more hand-drawn. See? :)

We also got our GS1 Certificate and purchased our first 10 UPC codes for our labels. We are starting with 3 product sizes (32 oz Starter Kit, 1 gal Studio Kit, and 2 gal Pro Kit).

With this new logo and UPCs we were able to send our first labels to the printer:

Bottles have been ordered. Raw materials have been ordered. Our draft 1 MSDS is complete. There is so much that goes into making an MSDS, we've been learning! For example, hazardous identification, flash points, accidental release measures, stability and reactivitiy, toxicological and ecological information, regulatory information - all prepared with the federal OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200. This product is considered to be a non-hazardous chemical, non-hazardous waste, and does not contain a toxic chemical for routine annual “Toxic Chemical Release Reporting”. This is just SOME of the information that must be included in all MSDSs for epoxy resin products!

Anyways, that's the update! Still no official launch date, and although we are waiting anxiously and with excitement, we're trying to remember that good things come to those who wait. Or whatever. What a journey! This is our first product we're bringing to market and we've learned so much along the way. Thanks for all your patience and encouragement so far. :) Peace!
